William Peterson, now known as William “H” was born in the City of Pittsburgh on March 26, 1985. As with most urban communities in Pittsburgh he grew up around guns, drugs and violence. As he embraced the hip-hop culture he used the negativity around him to help build his mix tape chronicles that displays his life’s struggles and challenges. Starting his young career as a rap artist, at the early age of 12 years old he would quickly gain recognition. After listening to basement quality beats he begin to adopt a style of rap that would become the voice of the city. By age 13 he completed his first local album titled “Billy The Kid” hitting the streets with an aggressive approach.
While gaining a positive response from the local circuit William “H” would be inspired by the all-time greats like Biggie Smalls, Rakim, Jay-Z, 50 Cent and other various artist. Ultimately this would lead him to drop over 27 local mix tape volumes and performances at various events. As a personal goal he’s dedicated to releasing a new mix tape every month and grinding out his buzz throughout the mainstream industry. Using his lyrical degree he has reached thousands in his hometown. Quickly being discovered by local DJ’s and promoters his many volumes became scattered everywhere within the local hip-hop community.
In his city he is expected to be in the lines of the greatest of all-time because of his fresh flows, industry swagger and the consistent lyrical content. William “H” has displayed a multitude of talents, rocking the freestyle battles; open mic shows including clubs and other various events. What really defines William “H” are the unique style and the unidentified sound he releases through the mic. He intends to change the way rap’s instituted in the millennium by precisely delivering a solid sound to the hip-hop environment.
Currently working as an artist managed by “Infrared Entertainment”, he has released his smashing single “Break Your Back in”. This song has so far been marketed to local and industry level DJ’s and will soon be assigned to radio rotation. It is anticipated that this single alone will drive him to becoming a platinum artist by year 2007. Presently he and his management company are trying to secure national distribution for this single and a possible album deal. William “H” has the support of the local population and is strongly pressing to gain the national support from the mainstream fans.
You can find William “H” ripping up a club, attacking an artists in a freestyle battle or in the booth at Infrared Studios. If you ask him what he’s doing as far as the rap game he’ll tell you to “tie down your belt and let’s ride”. His words are “talk comes free everyone’s got it”, you just have to listen to my music!
